Carlin Girard Lecture, March 18, 2016

Mark your calendar for  March 18, 2016 at 7 pm when Carlin Girard will join us for a lecture on “The Effects of Oil & Natural Gas Development in Water Quality, Aquatic Habitat & Native Fish in Streams Along the Wyoming Range”

Energy development can affect aquatic ecosystems through water contamination, water use and surface disturbance from infrastructure development (roads, pipelines, well pads, etc.). The aquatic ecosystem impairment Girard documented in streams running through the LaBarge Oil & Gas Field exemplifies the need for site-specific research and mitigation strategies, to ensure that energy development does not compromise important ecological conditions and  services.

We look forward to seeing you on March 18, 2016 at the Sublette County Library Lovatt Room. A light dinner will be served at 6 pm. Lecture begins at 7 pm.
